The Little Red Wagon is an art and fine craft show with the goal is creating a place for showcasing our rich collection of local artisans. This will be a vibrant celebration of handmade commerce, featuring a diverse collection of fine arts and beautiful crafts as well as local wineries and breweries and delicious pastries. Our inaugural year in 2014 was quite successful, and we are well on our way to establishing a yearly presence that will provide a great local holiday shopping venue for our community.
We have exciting news for you this year regarding our sweet annual holiday show! As you know, we have had a lot of success and have outgrown our usual space. So we are pleased to announce that the 2019 Little Red Wagon Artisan Market will be held in a fun new location and be bigger and better than ever! We will be at the new Artist Alley location at the South Hill Business Campus in Ithaca, will be open two days this year, and will be collaborating with the Clay School and the existing art studios to have a fantastic, magical weekend. The plans are already in the works to grow this show to the next level, and we are very excited about it.
Here’s some important information for vendors:
• Show dates are Friday and Saturday, December 13-14, 2019, 10-5 both days.
(Why Friday? The building we are in hosts at least 600 employees, and the Clay School has historically had a great sales day on Friday.)
• Set-up will be on Thursday evening, December 12 starting at 5:00 and hopefully out of there by 9:00 so we can all rest up – with a vendor party (!!) and chance to shop from each other. This allows us to use the giant parking lot after the business employees leave work, and lets us open for a full and relaxed day on Friday.
• We will have overnight security on Thursday and Friday nights.
• Spaces will be much larger than in past years, although the map is still being finalized. We are estimating that the spaces will be 10’ wide by 4’ deep, with some variation as we comply with ADA guidelines. Vendors should plan to have tables and displays that can go against the wall, with your seating area to the side rather than behind your table. Flexibility, right?
• The entry fee is going up to $90 as we have added a day and wish to put more resources into our advertising and vendor amenities, but we wish to keep this a reasonable and affordable show.
• NEW: you will need to bring all of your own tables, chairs, and booth infrastructure.
